Linda Stewart and Danny Ducovny founded Cucoloris Films in 1990. Their partnership and combined talents were immediately recognized within the advertising community and the company quickly became successful.
Cucoloris has produced campaigns for every major advertising agency in America, as well as agencies in Europe, South America, and Asia. Cucoloris is known for producing product launch and corporate image campaigns including The 1996 Olympic Campaign, Kodak, American Airlines, Visa, Sprint, AT&T, Zurich, Boeing and Gatorade with Michael Jordan, as well as numerous banks, insurance companies and other global Fortune 500 companies.
Cucoloris is also noted for its work in the automotive field, having produced campaigns for every car manufacturer; the most highly recognized of which have been the launch campaigns for Saturn, Volkswagen 'Drivers Wanted', Mazda, Nissan, Chevy Malibu and the current Mercury campaign. Cucoloris campaigns have appeared on the Olympics, Super Bowls, and the Academy Awards. The company has received over one hundred awards from various international film festivals and industry organizations. Cucoloris was nominated for Production Company of the Year by the California Film Commission. And their Farm Aid campaign has been selected for the MOMA Permanent Collection.
In 1998 the company expanded to include New Media and Branded Content. This included the development of a multi-user on-line web game, The Superdudes. The success of The Superdudes resulted in its purchase by Intermix Media, owner of MySpace. Cucoloris also co-developed a graphics company, Digital Kitchen, best known for its opening credit sequence for Six Feet Under and graphic re-branding of corporations like IBM. Digital Kitchen is being sold this year to private partners.
Also in 1998 Michael Pemberton joined Cucoloris. Michael's background in branded businesses and marketing (Land Rover/Range Rover) led him to head up new media accounts.
In 2000, Cucoloris developed a Consulting Division to create Think Tanks for CEO's and their management teams to explore Profitable Environmental Solutions. Cucoloris uses the results of those solutions to create New Media Branding and Visionary Management and Leadership. Cucoloris' clients include Global Corporations, Government Agencies and Non-Profit Organizations.
In 2005, Rebecca Rogers, former founding Creative Director of Altnet / Kazaa, the world's largest licensed media distribution network online, joined the Environmental Consulting Division and has co-authored Bex Head, the first stackable web show for responsible corporate branding. Their New Media projects include: 'Imagine' a 3-D web campaign with Cameron Diaz for The Natural Resources Defense Council and 'Arctic Warning" a SpectralQ human sculpture featuring Jake Gyllenhaal and Selma Hayek.
